Good-Bye Gilmore Girls
Sigh. It seems like only yesterday that Rory Gilmore was just getting her geek on. Now she’s a Yale grad who has already turned down one marriage proposal (thank you!) and now must figure out what she’s going to do with the rest of her life.
Welcome to the real world.
The “Gilmore Girls” always existed on the periphery of reality, of course, set as it was in the dreamlike New England town of Stars Hollow with the quirkiest residents this side of “Roswell.”
It takes a certain dose of Hollywood magic to create the mother-daughter bond shared by Lorelai and Rory for seven seasons, but their rapport will be missed — along with the quick-fire pop-culture infused dialogue that few shows have been able to match.
Expect a good time to be had by all at Rory’s graduation bash tonight. With room to squeeze in one more strong female guest, Rory will get to meet CNN correspondent Christiane Amanpour.
Read more about the end of the series at the Washington Post and the Hartford Courant (the closest thing to a local paper for the Connecticut-based show). Maureen Ryan lists seven things she’ll miss about “Gilmore Girls.”
Plus: Thoughts on the new “Bionic Woman”? Ryan has clips.

I really wish that they could do a spin off. Since Alexis wants to leave it could be about Paris losing all her money and having to move in with Lorelai in Stars Hollow. THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN HYSTERICAL!!!!!!!!!

I love this show, it is for girls and women of all ages and its sad to see it end. I too wish to see some closure on some of the story lines and of course see Lorelai and Luke get together. Thanks for the best show I’ve watched in a long time and I plan on buying all the seasons - - eventually.

i think it’s rediculous that the show is already over.. I want to see more. the Season finale was great but leaves you wanting answers! The show should come back on and continue w/ it.. it is such a marvelous show for every one. It needs not to be over!!!!!

That really stinks that Gilmore Girls had to end. It was really a great show that my daughter and I shared on Tuesday nights and I absolutely loved it! In my oppionion it was the best show on tv and I don’t think that it can be replaced. I always looked forward to geting off on Tuesdays and knew that I had a night full of comedy and relaxation! Gilmore Girls will definetely be missed!

I accidentally fell in love with this show over the summer when I caught a re run of one of the episodes. Ever since then I have been addicted to it watching every episode made and buying a couple of the seaons. I was incredibly disapointed when they decided to have the series finale just when I had grown to love the show so much. RIP gilmore girls, but your show will forever go on with DVDS. p.s. yay luke and lorelei finally got back together! and what did happen to dean?

I have watched Gilmore Girls since the first episode and I never missed one. My daughter and I watched every Tuesday night till she went off to College in 2004 and we still watched it while we were on the phone with each other. The show will be truly missed by all it brought so many mother’s and daughter’s together. I hope they all knew what they were doing when they did not renew the show. Well Gilmore Girls you will be missed Tuesday’s will not be the same again.

Even though I once spent some time on the set of the GG, I could never bring myself to watching it. I am glad the show’s gone.
